Increasing Black heritage representation in Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s pipeline
Law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) was looking to expand and diversify their talent pool. There was a particular focus on candidates from Black heritage and minority ethnic backgrounds as well as the LGBTQ+ community, lower socio-economic backgrounds and those with disabilities.
Compared to the wider legal sector, BCLP performed significantly above average in terms of engagement from the diverse demographics they were looking to target.
To achieve this, BCLP were supported through a bespoke digital and events package in the 22/23 season, which included:
Early Talent Platform access
Additional targeted emails
Bright Network Festival
Here's what Isabel Elsey, Emerging Talent Manager at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, said about her ongoing work with Bright Network:
"We’re heading into our fourth year of working with Bright Network and are consistently impressed with the results they deliver in line with our objectives. Going into the partnership, I had some concerns around whether the offering could support our bespoke needs as a firm, and how we would be positioned against larger names in the industry. However, the Bright Network team’s dedication to supporting our specific needs, and their granular targeting capabilities has led to exceptional results year on year in finding high-quality, diverse candidates that are the right fit for BCLP.
Additionally, the Bright Network Talent Tracker allows us to access real-time analytics, as well as tracking success through to hire. This year alone, 80% of our trainee hires were Bright Network members, which clearly demonstrates the high ROI our partnership has generated. We’ve always thoroughly enjoyed working with the team and look forward to growing the partnership further!"
