We asked our members how important salary transparency is to them when applying for a role.
Our members shared:
- Why they’re turned off by a role that has a ‘competitive’ salary
- Typically, an “organisation that’s transparent about salary are transparent about other aspects of the job” which is appealing
- How it’s more difficult to value their worth when they’re in the dark about the salary
Given the current economic situation, graduates are expecting salaries to rise in line with inflation - resulting in a 25% increase in their starting salary expectations. Our members are realistic about their salary expectations and the current climate - but at the very least, they need transparency from employers to be able to manage their own finances.
