Flexible working

We asked our members whether flexible working is a key requirement in their first graduate role.

Our members shared:

  • Why they’d be more inclined to apply for a role that offers flexible working
  • Suggestions on how productivity should be tracked with flexible working in mind

Offering flexible working is desirable for our members as they plan ahead in their careers and adapt around family life. One member stated that as “most companies now offer flexible working, you wouldn’t want to work for the only one that doesn’t”. Whilst it may not be at the top of the list for some graduates, it does appeal to many as it supports the work-life balance (see our other members discuss flexible working in ‘the new normal’).
