Platinum partner alumni success stories

Platinum sponsors will each provide a current graduate at your firm to share their story and tips for success to the audience.

Session objective: To provide our students with top tips from recent graduates within your organisation. This will be an opportunity to inspire the audience by sharing top tips and educate them on the realities and expectations of working within your organisation and the path to success.

Alumni success story speaker profile: We highly suggest a recent graduate that is focussed on D&I (a D&I officer, on D&I committees) or identifies with a minority group and is comfortable sharing their story and journey. We would highly suggest exploring all the potential underrepresented groups specifically the more invisible minority groups (LGBTQ+, disability, social mobility: such as a first gen colleague, someone who was on free school meals). We highly encourage, if possible, for you to consider sending a recent graduate or young professional who may have been a former Bright Network member themselves.

Our Bright Network members are diverse and come from a range of backgrounds. At last year’s Diversity & Inclusion, our attendee profile was: 86% BAME, 46% first generation university students, 31% free school meals, 20% LGBTQ+, 8% with a disability and 62% state school educated. Therefore, we encourage you to consider the above audience demographics when choosing representatives.

Networking and lunch

This is your opportunity to meet students interested in your organisation and to let them know what makes your firm stand out while giving them an insight into working at your organisation. It will also be the attendees chance to ask any questions they might have about your career or firm.

Representative profile: We encourage you to send your most charismatic and enthusiastic colleagues to network with our members as we have found these types of representatives connect best with students, leading to a higher ROI. Feedback from students at previous events demonstrates that they highly valued a mix of Graduate Recruitment representatives, those on a graduate scheme and senior leaders within the organisation to speak with during the networking session.

Panel sessions - Why diversity and inclusion matters

The panel session will consist of a two-minute introduction by each panellist and an overview of their career journey to date, followed by 30 minutes of hosted panel questions. Following that, there will be a 20-minute Q&A session with the audience. This is an opportunity for our members to ask questions and learn more about your panellist, your organisation and how to get ahead.

Platinum and gold partners will have a panel place and there will be three panels running concurrently. Panel slots will be allocated based along firm sectors with a mix of different firms on each panel. Your panellist will be joined by five other panellists.

Panel objective: To provide our students with top tips from successful leaders within your organisation. This will be an opportunity to inspire the audience by sharing top tips and educate them on the realities and expectations of working within your organisation and the path to success.
