Are we setting up Gen Z for success - or expecting too much, too soon?
We brought together Gen Z Juanita, who recently secured a role in Finance and Tech at Waterstons, with Glen, Global Head of Emerging Talent at HSBC, to dive into the Gen Z skillset and explore which workplace skills need more development.
Juanita opens up about challenges like communication and professionalism. From writing emails to navigating manager relationships, she explains that many students feel underprepared for the formalities of corporate life.
Glen argues that companies shouldn't assume young hires "just know" how to operate in a professional setting. Instead, he believes that companies need to be proactive in guiding early-career professionals through these basics to set them up for success.
