"We started Bright Network to build the workforce of tomorrow, by using technology and data to fix the problem that talent is everywhere but opportunity is not.

10 years later, we’ve impacted the lives of one million brilliant, diverse members, connecting them with the advice, insights and opportunities to help them reach their potential.

To these one million members, thank you for being part of the journey. It's been inspiring to see you matched with leading employers and go on to succeed in careers that you might not have otherwise considered.

To our 300+ world leading employer partners – thank you for all the support on our mission.

And one million is just a start.

There’s still so much more to do when it comes to driving social mobility, levelling the playing field for bright students and graduate and closing critical skills gap so that leading organisations can truly thrive. We will continue on our mission and keep innovating to support our members and employer partners as we build a diverse, skilful and talented workforce of tomorrow."

Individual stories from our members in the UK and Germany

During my education, I understood the difference that going to a typically prestigious ‘target’ university would make when trying to break into finance, so not gaining admission to one made me realise I had to do more outside of university to reach my goals.

Fortunately for me, I was introduced to Bright Network; Bright Network became the family referral advantage I never had!

Bright Network showed me the vast amount of firms out there, helped shape which area I wanted to go into through their sector guidance and set me up for success in applications with advice.

I’m so grateful for the impact Bright Network has had and, as cheesy as this may sound, it is actually life-changing. There’s a lot of things I couldn’t have achieved without Bright Network.

After finishing my LLB, I wanted to try something else besides law and applied to various companies.

I got to know Bright Network and, in addition to the numerous information on jobs and applications, I also made use of the Internship Experience and got to know many nice students and very interesting companies.

Throughout my application process, I repeatedly read through the Bright Network guides to prepare for my interviews.

The Bright Network team is super friendly, and there was even an opportunity to send in my CV for review.

The platform is really well designed, you can search for specific jobs and add them to your favourites so you don't miss any deadlines. I can only recommend it!

I wasn’t ready to start my career and I didn’t know what to do. I attended Bright Network’s NextGen Awards and connected with EY who were sponsoring my award – they inspired me to research their roles.

Logging onto the Bright Network platform, I found sector guides, application tips and lots of information about the relevant roles and employers within the Consulting sector.

I wanted to apply through the Bright Network and EY Empower Programme which helps people from underrepresented backgrounds like me and I found a success story from someone who had completed the programme the year before, which really helped with my application.

When your parents are abroad and you don’t really know what a corporate job is like in the UK, you can feel really lost. A year ago I had no idea where I would end up and it all fell into place thanks to Bright Network.

I joined University of Leicester thinking I wanted to be a lawyer, but when I realised it wasn’t really for me, I didn’t know how to change direction.

My first ever Bright Network FESTIVAL was my first opportunity to explore a non-law career and after meeting lots of companies at the event, I secured an internship in a whole new industry. After this, I had various touchpoints with Bright Network, be that using the website and resources, attending wider events and more intimate workshops with guest speakers.

What stood out to me was the real personal touch to Bright Network and that I was proactively reached out to by the team. Be that one-on-one, digitally or at one of their events – you don’t just feel like a number on a screen.

Bright Network opens the doors that you otherwise wouldn’t know were there.

Being part of the one million Bright Network members is important to me because I didn’t have the option of getting advice from my family or friends. I’m now at Accenture and love the work that I’m doing!

One million Bright Network members is important to me because I get to be part of a like-minded community full of individuals that want to advance their careers, unlock opportunities and build confidence in the process.

I joined in 2020 during Covid when the world was shut down and opportunities were so limited to me. I didn’t have career support growing up, so I went to my university’s career service and they introduced me to the Bright Network platform.

I was in my second year and getting rejected from every internship I was applying for. I discovered Bright Network Academy where I was able to develop my core skills, learn how to tackle interviews and assessment centres and increase my commercial awareness. It was really pivotal towards my career progression and I was able to land my first internship through the platform.
